MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries - Pre-Owned

It's been the best part of two decades since the last single player MechWarrior game launched, but developer Piranha Games hasn't forgotten what makes it fun in the intervening years: huge great robots shooting seven bells out of each other. The series is all about piloting what are essentially huge futuristic tanks that walk around crushing trees underfoot and taking down entire cities with their firepower. MechWarrior 5 impresses with the sheer variety on offer, thanks to some 50 mechs for you to pilot ranging from the nimble to the absolutely hulking, each with their own variants and an absolute ton of customisability. Lasers, missiles and ballistics are yours for the pimping, and you can even get down to the nitty-gritty of fine tuning the armour on different points on your mech, should you choose to. Beyond piloting the mechs directly, there's also a management campaign that has you running your own company of mercenaries across an interstellar map. Maintain and acquire mechs and other equipment, manage your relationships with the great houses of the inner sphere and hire and field MechWarriors as you try to make it out there in the universe. Don't lose sight of the true joy of MechWarrior, though - crushing everything in your path with your heavy metal monstrosity!
